About Bird Sketches

I have been drawing birds on and off for over 40 years. The first sketch I can remember was a White Wagtail. I have hundreds of little line drawings scattered on my nature notebooks, mostly ball pen, some coloured in with watercolours, most drawn in the field others at home, from my pet Zebra Finches or Greenfinch when I was little. When at high school, I illustrated my own bird guide to the birds of my local park using felt tip pens. My town’s council published it just as I started University. Shortly after, I moved onto watercolours. In 2009 I was given a Wacom Bamboo pen tablet as a present. I eventually started to used it regularly and exploring the endless possibilities it affords. This sketchbook, unless otherwise stated, shows some these digital drawings. I am happy for you to download or print them for your own use. For commercial or other purposes, please contact me. Please comment on them whether you like them or not, I’d appreciate the feedback.
